Child Safety Standards policy

Firefly is a dating application designed exclusively for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We are committed to upholding child safety in accordance with global regulations and Google Play's Developer Policies. This policy outlines the measures Firefly takes to prevent underage access and ensure a secure environment for all users.
1. Intended Audience
Firefly is intended strictly for adult users. Individuals under the age of 18 are not permitted to create an account or use the app in any form. We do not market, design, or promote Firefly to children or minors.
2. Age Restriction and Verification
To maintain platform safety and compliance:
Users must confirm they are at least 18 years old at the time of registration.
We prohibit account creation by anyone under 18.
Age declarations are required during sign-up, and users who misrepresent their age are permanently removed upon detection.
3. Reporting Underage Users
Firefly provides in-app mechanisms to report suspected underage users:
Users can report another user as underage through either the chat screen or the profile details page.
To report: go to Chats or Profile Details > Report User > Underage.
All reports are promptly reviewed by our moderation team.
If we confirm that a user is underage, we immediately suspend their account and remove all associated data in accordance with our privacy practices and applicable laws.
4. Content and Community Standards
Firefly actively monitors user-generated content and behavior to prevent any activity that could compromise child safety. Our platform:
Does not allow content that depicts, suggests, or implies underage individuals in any context.
Does not allow references to minors in user bios, photos, or messages.
Uses automated and manual moderation tools to detect violations.
5. Enforcement and Compliance
Firefly strictly enforces its age policy. Any violation results in:
Immediate removal of underage accounts.
Suspension or banning of users who attempt to circumvent the age restriction.
Reporting of child safety violations to appropriate legal authorities, when necessary.
We comply fully with applicable laws, including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and Google Play’s Developer Program Policies regarding child safety.
6. Policy Updates
We may revise this policy periodically to reflect changes in law, platform features, or moderation practices. Continued use of Firefly after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
